Tuner Lug Nut Key Tool Installation

The tuner lug nut key is a very durable tool that will last the life time of your lug nuts if used as per instructions. Regular lug nuts have  a wide HEX that can take a lot of punishment from impact wrenches, not so with tuner lug nuts. Tuner lug nuts both the spline socket style and the open hex styles have small ridges where the tool slides in to install and uninstall the lug nut. If not installed properly by hand using recommended torque the key might damage.

Use recommended tips below and your key will last a long time and will be in good condition, you would not want to get a flat in the middle of no where and you come to find out your tire shop stripped your key by using an impact wrench the last time you were in for service.

  1. Start nuts by hand using the key and secure in a criss-cross sequence.
  2. Using key, tighten lugs with a torque wrench. (Refer to your owners manual for proper torque specifications.)
  3. Do Not Use an Impact wrench on tuner lug nuts.

Hub Centric Rings

Tuesday, December 13, 2011 @ 05:12 PM
hub centric rings
hub centric ring

Is your wheel vibrating over a certain speed? Your problem could be as simple as installing a set of hub centric rings, especially if you have just installed a set of aftermarket wheels. Factory stock wheels made specific to your car do not have this problem. Vibration only occur when you are installing aftermarket wheels or stock wheels from a different model or year.

Steering wheel vibrations are most felt once your vehicle goes over the 30 mph mark. While a vibrating steering wheel could also be caused by different reasons (ex: bent wheels, steering problem). If you have recently installed a different set of wheels, it could be that your new wheels are not hub centric to your hub. In this case you would use a hub centric ring to fill in the gap  between the wheel center bore and your vehicle’s hub that will eliminate any vibrations. In the market today you have a choice of metal and poly carbon hub rings. We strongly recommend poly carbon hub rings since they don’t rust or corrode like their metal counterparts.

How to choose the right hub centric ring:
1) Determine your wheel center bore size = Outer Diameter measurement.
2) Determine your vehicle’s hub size = Inner Diameter measurement.
3) Outer Diameter and Inner Diameter gives you the right hub ring.

2014 Porsche Cajun

2014 Porsche Cajun is spotted in Nurburgring during testing. Porsche test drivers have started working on their Q5 based new baby SUV. The new Cajun is inspired by the Q5, so it is understandable that the VW stable-mates will share mules together and keep their newer products hidden. The baby SUV features a wider track than the regular Q5 while testing.

The Cajun will basically stand on a front-wheel-drive construction as using Q5 as technical basis: Audi’s flexible longitudinal stand. So, like the Q5, newer versions of the Cajun will be well-appointed with Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system and won’t go by its usual name here.

Though Cajun will be designed on Q5 basis but Porsche will fine tune the chassis and give the Cajun a bit better brakes and different wheels. Audi delivers engines to deliver power, both petrol and diesel, but again Porsche will fine tune them and to make sure that the Cajun has greater power figures then the Q5.

The Cajun will also be provided with the Hybrid-drivetrain familiar from the Q5, which means a 2.0 TFSI providing 210 horsepower collectively with a 44 HP electric motor. That will aid Porsche to get closer to the typical CO2 goal of 130 g/km that other car manufacturers want to reach from 2015. The Porsche Cajun will be launched with four doors primarily, but there may also be a two door sporty version.

2013 Mercedes SL 63 AMG

The designers at the Mercedes power factory AMG are having busy time as they are not just making the SLS super car but also developing some other new cars presently. SLS Roadster, CLS AMG, SLK AMG and ML AMG are some of the new prototypes and the next one is the AMG version of the forthcoming SL, the SL 63 AMG.

Though it was under heavy camouflage but you can easily see that the cammo all over the front spoiler is dissimilar and keeping some big air intakes hidden. The brakes in both front and rear with cross drilled discs are bigger than the normal SL prototypes by several sizes. The same features involve with the calipers. They could not easily hide them, but gets little success to fool us about the quad exhaust pipes, here looking like normal pipes. Power will come from the new 5, 5 liter V8 bi-turbo engine evolving some 571 hp linked to the AMG Speed shift MCT 7-speed sports transmission.

The front end looks absolutely SLS-like, though that may just be misled to hide the more old-fashioned pointy-nosed SL design, changed and updated for this new car. If not, we have to question the aesthetics of the blunt SLS-style nose on the SL’s body. Also we’ve seen the tail lamps for the first time that looks almost match to the swoopy units.

The Q6 is designed something in between the Q5 and Q7 with more sporty look. But it looks more likely similar to BMW X6. The other features are quite same as other Q series cars, but upgraded and updated with latest technologies.

Everyone wants his ride to look better than others. Everyone knows that customized alloy or aluminum rims and wheels make your ride look better. When every eye on the road sticks to your car, you feel better than ever. If you’ve installed customized wheels, rims or tires for a better look or good handling, but yet don’t know that your wheels can be stolen at any time as they are always exposed with their appeal to the thieves. Most of these custom wheels don’t have any specific serial number from which you can recover it if stolen. And law enforcement officials will take the time to find them. So, you need to take some protective precautions for your precious investments.

As we see taking off tires with just a lug wrench is quite easy for rotating, changing or repairing and as thieves are in this business with a long experience, they can do it with a glimpse of your eye.  If you are only relying on the lug nuts, then you may feel tensed to hear that it is not hard enough for any thieves to jack your car up and take your rims and tires off your car with a simple lug wrench and fly away with them. If you really want to protect your rims and tires, you need to try auto wheel locks.

The first locks were just a combination of simple bolts and bars. With the advancement of urban lifestyle the actual locks with keys were first invented by the ancient Romans. Today you can find locks for almost every device- cars, bicycles, cabinet, doors and even your laptop. The primary motivation for locks was to protect our assets from thieves.

Auto wheel locks are nothing but specialized lug nuts that is designed to protect the tires that are in use and your spare tires too. Wheel locks secure wheels attached to ride like usual lug nuts. Usually, we use only four wheel locks for each wheel and tire combinations on our vehicle. Remaining lug nuts come with your vehicle. Wheel lock manufacturing companies offer hundreds of unique and different key combinations. You can only open your bolts with these combinations once locked. It ensures less possibilities of stealing your wheels with similar key. Though, your manufacturing company will give you a single set of keys with your wheel locks, you can make a spare set and keep safe, as, sometimes breaking own wheel locks can be messy. But, at least wheel locks can discourage just any thieves from just coming and stealing your asset.

You can get both OEM wheel locks and truck wheel locks of excellent quality and services by our product reviewing. Acura Honda OEM Style Wheel Locks are available at 25% off, only at $18.74; this offer will last only this month. We also have Acorn Puzzle & Socket Style, Ball & Conical Seat Bolt locks at affordable prices and good quality.
